I am 100% Pro Life. I believe Life begins at conception and only the Good Lord can take an innocent life. More than 55 million children have been aborted since 1973 when Roe vs. Wade was passed. How many of those innocent lives may have grown to be the person to cure cancer, or the person to bring about world peace? We as a civilized nation must stop destroying our future generations.
The people of Louisiana have a sacred obligation to protect our Veterans. These are the people who fought to protect our freedom, and way of life. They must be taken care of. A veteran should be able to walk into any hospital in the country and receive care. We must honor the men and women that risked everything to protect our country.
People need to take responsibility for their actions and their lives. All healthy, young people should be required to work to keep any type of government assistance. Government assistance programs were never intended to be a lifelong career path. Assistance programs need to be short term to help people through a tough time in their lives.
I am a firm believer in United States Constitution.
I support the 2nd Amendment which gives every American the right to keep and bear arms. This right is guaranteed to you whether you are 18 or 81.
Louisiana’s economy is ranked the lowest in the country. The rest of America is enjoying an economic upswing and we are not sharing in that economic boom. The only way to get on track with the rest of the country is to create more jobs here in at home. I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of watching our youth move to other states to find decent jobs. We need to help the companies that are already here expand their business, and we need to attract new business to Louisiana. New and expanding business means more jobs here. Louisiana has historically always played a big role in oil and gas exploration. Oil and gas jobs have always been good, high-paying jobs here in Louisiana. No company that complies with the rules and regulations set by the regulating agency overseeing their industry should be penalized. That includes the oil and gas industry, the agriculture industry, the forestry industry, and all other industries.
Louisiana needs a program that works to properly and continually maintain our highways, roads, and bridges instead of allowing them to erode into a much more expensive state of repair. We also need to hold the contractors responsible for completing the work according to the specifications they are given. Road projects need to be completed in a timely, cost-efficient manner. The state needs to pay for the work once and get everything out of the job the taxpayers are paying for.
